Transitional Spec Compatibility Path¶

The repository is moving to a single canonical documentation root under docs/.

spec/ remains in place during transition because code, fixtures, tests, and CLI/help text still reference specific files here.

Current policy:

Canonical publication and architecture docs: docs/
Compatibility source documents used by code/tests: spec/
No silent deletions; migrate references to docs/ in narrow slices, then retire spec/
